Am I an idiot

Something’s in front of me

Yet I can’t see it,

I saw the good

And

Ignored the bad

It’s about an experience

I wish

I never had.

The happy and sad,

pain and sorrow,

feeling dead,

but

living for tomorrow.

Of lessons learned

this was one

that hung around

a while.

You are never too old

to learn,

walk in my shoes

and try to smile.
